You Have A Choice For Technology Copywriting:

Continue down the technical copywriting and marketing road you're currently traveling...Or travel this road...

Why should you travel this road?

"The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstien

Can a respected American Medical Association colleague solve Albert Einstein's issue, through a story regarding actor Lon Chaney?

Dear Future Customer:

David Antos was my creative writing coach, before joining the A.M.A. production staff.  He's also a creative writer, who wishes to publish posthumously - much like Franz Kafka.

I must be perfectly honest with you.  I’ve only taken up the copywriting mantel since 2007, when I launched this new career.  Yet I have many life accomplishments, I bring to the table.  Before you hire your next technology copywriter and marketing consultant, ask if they did any of the following:

  •   Ran their own IT consulting firm for 13 years, working with names like Allstate, United Airlines, and Discover Card?

  •
Written in a variety of literary genres (I.E. - novels, screenplays, poetry, short stories, and articles) over the years, yet still seeking the perfect literary agent?

  •  Worked for a major telecommunications company like Motorola (cell phone division) for seven years – wearing a variety of hats (I.E. – website designer and builder, Six-Sigma black belt, technical writer, project manager, trainer, and software engineer)?

  •   Have a masters’ degree in psychology, a bachelors in mathematics, and worked for five years with a government, mental health agency?

  •  Studied the copywriting approaches of contemporary and historical, inbound and direct response, copywriters and marketers?

Let's summarize in a simple equation:

Your Marketing Success (I.E. - White Papers, Case Studies, etc.) =

Experience with Software Technology in major firms

+ Sales and Marketing Experience running an IT firm

                                       +  Creative writing experience

+ Knowledge of Inbound and Direct Response Marketing

Now let me turn the floor over to David, as he explains why this is important to you.

Randy Kemp

Are you looking for this?

                                                        ...Multifaceted...

"Actor Lon Chaney was known for the many different faces he applied to more persuasively inhabit his roles in silent film. Yet he remained, behind the faces, a single creative individual. The source of all those faces was a creative force interfacing with whatever character he was charged with assuming. He served the character by accessing the face, the face unlocking all the various aspects of a complex character."

...Doing Business in a Cosmic and Spiritual Way...

"Chaney comes to mind when thinking of Randy Kemp, as he too has served by multiply interfacing, accessing the common boundaries between seemingly disparate aspects of reality, considering more than one point of view yet maintaining a steady vision. He thinks outside the box, but he doesn’t discard the box either. Instead he connects, finds or makes common ground, brings into one project the wildly fantastic and the reassuringly ordinary and treats both with the respect and enthusiasm they deserve. It’s that equal-opportunity enthusiasm, the willingness to go beyond just 'doing a job' and to stretch a mundane task into a spiritual undertaking, that really distinguishes his method. An open, inquisitive, and reflective mind is the box from which this Jack springs, and no matter how far outside the box he travels he remains planted in that fertile mentality. It’s a way of doing business that is, in a word, cosmic."

...Unifying All Disciplines Together With a Touch of Empathy...

"His technical expertise and knowledge are considerable, and his record in the corporate world speaks for itself, but the factor that sets Randy apart is his ability to incorporate a wide range of influences and interests into the job at hand, whatever it may be. I know him primarily through his creative work outside the high-tech corridor, yet that work is not truly 'outside' the corridor, not separate, for it’s in his nature and method to integrate, to mesh with, to bring all his experience to bear on what he’s currently doing. Randy brings a total person to his work, not just a person with particular business and technical skills, and with high levels of empathy and expertise he can serve well the role he’s undertaken."

Is David telling the truth?  Curious?  Find out for yourself.  Don't get lost in the black hole of marketing limbo.  Listen to my 15-minute talk, giving some good free advice (either Houndbite or Gcast), on marketing and technology:

Do you want someone who just writes, or someone who also thinks?

What is copywriting?  Legendary copywriter John Kennedy called it "salesmanship in print." Wiki calls it "the use of words to promote a person, business, opinion, or idea."  I say it's being a "persuasion artist for marketing communications." Context is important, even in copywriting and marketing.  Is this a vase, or two people, facing each other?

How many copywriters you work with can trace their genealogy to the famous Tiffany Diamond?

Would you desire this for technology copywriting?
